Table position is one of the most important concepts in poker — it determines who acts first and who acts last
The best position — you act last in every betting round (except pre-flop). You have the most information before making your decision.
Acts first after the pre-flop. Required to post half the big blind. The most challenging position — you act early and already have money in the pot.
Must post a full blind. Acts last pre-flop but first in subsequent rounds. Has the option to "defend" the blind when facing a raise.
Acts first after the blinds pre-flop. The weakest position at the table — only play very strong hands from here.
Middle position. You can play a wider range of hands than UTG, but caution is still needed. Pay attention to who has yet to act.
